Printing Templates on a shared drive?

Hi. I have a question about the templates we use for printing. Do most people have them located on a shared drive? We currently have them on the C drive on each machine and find ourselves spending time making sure we're all using the same version of the templates. I had asked our IT person about putting them on a shared drive but he was not comfortable with our doing so--I think he mumbled something about security but I couldn't really get a good grasp as to why he thought it would be a problem. Is it possible, and has anyone had any problems? Thanks for any info you can provide!

Yes, it's possible--that's how we set it up, and that's exactly why--I didn't want to run around changing every computer when I made a change to a template.

I vaguely remember a couple of small hiccups when it was first instituted, but nothing major, and it's been working great.

What do you have to do besides update the customization manager key to point to the shared drive? Does this have to be done at each workstation?
