ILLiad version 7.4 is available for download using your ILLiad Auto Updater on your server. Remember that if your server is hosted, you need to contact Atlas or OCLC (whoever hosts your server) to coordinate a time to update.

ILLiad 7.4 is mostly some bug fixes and minor enhancements to how the system works. The components that are updated in this release are:

Staff Tools: ILLiad Client, Customization Manager
Services: Connection Manager, Odyssey Manager, Rapid Manager, System Manager
Web Tools: Web Circ, Web Reports
Shared ILLiad Components

Note that when you update to 7.4, you will need to manually replace the WebCirc and WebReports folder from the update directories to the production web folders, as the updater doesn't replace those files by default.

You can feel free to update to this version when you are ready, but be aware that because of some database changes you will need to be on this version before you can preview ILLiad version 8. The ILLiad 8 preview will not be available until later this summer, so you have time to update.

If you are an OCLC hosted ILLiad site, you can now schedule your upgrade to version 7.4.

You will want to use your unique institutional link to the online scheduler to choose your date and time starting with April 1st.

This URL starts with the following:
http://myilliad.oclc.org/ ...

Just choose the "Schedule Your Upgrade" button in the upper left corner to start the process.

If you personally don't have this URL, check with your ILLiad technical contact at your site. If that doesn't work or if you have changed staff, you can contact OCLC Customer Support or myself, John Trares and we will send this information to you.

Hi Genie,

I heard rumor that there is a 7.4.1 version of the Customization Manager that I'm hoping will solve my missing LendingStacksRapidDocsArticle key problem. It doesn't show up in the ILLiad Updater. Where can I find it (if it really exists)?

Can you tell me if our customizations in 7.2 will migrate to 7.4, or do we have to start over?

Hi Eden,

We might need a little additional information to answer your question completely.

If you are referring to the changes you make within the ILLiad Customization Manager, those will migrate when you upgrade to 7.4. Those items are stored safely within the ILLiad SQL database.

If you are referring to patron web page functionality, these should also work seamlessly in ILLiad 7.4 if you are using the new web interface introduced in ILLiad 7.2 (i.e., CSS - cascading style sheets).
